There is a woodland trail not far from my home where I like to walk. It is another world. I go there for exercise, to recharge my batteries, to be healed and restored. No matter what conditions, I always come back full of gratitude and, yes, joy. I go to see trees, old ones and young ones, and I have a particular affection for the old ones. I think they have witnessed more suffering on the trail, and they are more aware of the supportive community which belongs by nature to a forest. In my solitude, I discover a more primitive companionship and I encounter a mysterious presence.
The reality which I seek to encounter is a spiritual one and therefore is more easily portrayed by means of montage, multiple exposure, camera movement and white balance mix. The result is sometimes reminiscent of the effect of stained-glass windows.
